Tavira is one of if not the best Algarve cities, changing but still unspoilt . typical 18th century buildings and situated on the river Sequia.
Tavira also has its fair share of churches, lovely walks complimented with palm trees.
Stopping at the occasional bar, club or nightspot if need arises.
Tavira is to the East of Faro, Faro airport is the hub for the Algarve and located approx 30 mins drive from Tavira. History is plentifull in Tavira, with Roman bridges, Moors fortifications, castles and mosques.
Golf has also arrived in the area with some superb courses, hiring a car and crossing the border to Spain for a day out is easily achieved.
