Quarteira is one of the Algarve's busiest towns it offers an endless stretch of sandy beach alongside a promenade of shops, restaurants, bars with plenty of music and nightlife, in the centre of town you will find a good selection of high street shops.
Quarteira also has one of the busiest markets on Wednesdays, known as the gypsy market.
Their is also a good fish market and general fruit and vegetables. A short walk along the beach takes you to the nearby Vilamoura Marina.
